The Chemin Neuf Community is based in Kinshasa, the country’s capital and at Menkao, some miles into the bush.
At Kinshasa
- Education mission (meals, washing, daily hygiene, literacy) with street children in the centre called “Ndako Ya Biso”: a welcome centre in the day for boys and by day and night for girls
- Technical support mission at the Professional Training Centre (CFP): carpentry, welding, electrics, masonry
- Medical mission at the Mobengui dispensary (training, management of stock…), which is the dispensary of the Archdiocese run by the Chemin Neuf Community and at the Ndako ya Biso dispensary, for street children
- Mission to the Saint Christine School chaplaincy for young people aged 11 to 18 years old (groups, dance, singing…).
At Menkao
- Working the ground and everyday gardening: planting, harvesting…
- Welcoming children from the village for games and evangelisation
- Visiting families from the village for material and spiritual support
- Maintenance of the house (construction, painting, repairs, cement) near local farmers.
