About…

The Chemin Neuf Community is based in Antananarivo, capital of Madagascar, and at Antsirabé, south of Antananarivo.

At Antananarivo

  • Follow-up of diabetic youngsters from 1 to 26 years of age at the AMADIA hospital (physios, nurses, psychologists, social workers, teachers, speech therapists…)
  • French lessons at the School of the Immaculate, primary and middle school in the area ;
  • Educational support for pupils in the area ;
  • French lessons at ISPA, university for first and second year undergraduates ; 
  • Visits to families in the area ;
  • Pastoral mission at the student residence run by the Chemin Neuf Community.

At Antsirabe

  • Renovation workshops in the kitchen and classrooms ;
  • Educational support of children from the area on Wednesdays and Saturdays and family visiting each Friday afternoon ;
  • Welcome, service and wellbeing activities for the mothers from the area every Thursday morning ;
  • Mission amongst the children of the Missionary Sisters of Charity’s orphanage – Mother Teresa’s Sisters ;
  • Educational support for disabled children ;
  • Educational activities for children from a detention centre for minors ;
  • Activities for young males in prison ;
  • Pastoral work in the “ESSVA” school.
